300 a Month, Menu, and Goals

Looking out one of my windows.

It has finally started to warm up. A lot of the snow is melting, although now we have a muddy mess in some places with more to come lol. But that is ok I am liking the warmer weather.

Andy is setting up his saw so we can work on some of the trim for the inside of the house, which some has been needed to be done for several years. We need to frame out windows, baseboards, crown molding, and I want him to make a couple doors that look like barn doors, for the pantry and in front of the furnace that we don’t ever use. And all this pretty much needs to be done before we start calving the first of March. Seems like as soon as we start calving we are super busy till late fall.

Saturday after next we are having some people over to play music so I have really got to get busy on this house and get it doable for company. This coming Saturday is the Cattlemen’s Associations meetings and banquets so I will be gone all day and evening Saturday.

300 A Month

We went to a super bowl party Sunday and I had to take a couple dishes I took a Jalapeno popper dip and some homemade Jalapeno poppers both of which I will have to share the recipes for soon. They were really good.  So here is what I bought and spent.

2 packs of cream cheese, egg roll wrappers, won ton wrappers couple bags of chips, some mushrooms, cool whip, corn tortillas, 2 cans of chipotle sauce, a jar of olives for Andy, and 20 cans of chicken broth that was on sale for 50 cents a can.

All in all I spent 31.77, So 31.77 for the month.

31.77 plus 194.25 is 226.02 for the year.

That leaves me with 268.23 for the month and 3373.98 for the year.

Goals

Worked a little on the room switch (not much) Instead of getting my bathroom deep cleaned I worked on getting things put away and decluttered throughout the house. The next two weeks I plan on deep cleaning the whole house. I love when I have company it makes me really clean.

Kitchen,

I got butter and yogurt made. The lady who I get my milk from had her barn catch fire, they lost everything in the barn all the milking equipment, a large fodder machine and a ton more stuff I feel horrible for them. So I don’t know when I will be able to get milk again of if they are even going to rebuild. I have another place I can get milk from, I just don’t like it as well as I do this other.

I got the lemons put up, I didn’t have very many so I put them in two half gallon jars socking in vodka to make Lemoncello with.

I need to get the rest of the oranges and grapefruits taken care of this week.

Sewing table,

Absolutely no sewing done this week I have got to get better about this. Really need to get the zipper in Andy’s overalls.

Fiber Basket

I did get a little more spinning done and worked on my afghan a bit.

I would like to get Joleens hat finished and work more on the afghan
