300 a Month, Goals, & Menu

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

We had snow last week, (what is up with that?) Not only snow but cold, and wind. We are still windy but it is starting to warm up a little.

Friday night my music teacher had a recital and then a jam afterwards. We got there about half way through the recital (I have taken the last couple months off and will be starting back up the first of June) it was fun to watch the little ones play and the one adult. After the kids left a few more adults showed up and they had a pretty good jam. Most of them had never played with each other so there was a lot of new music being played.

Andy spent the weekend getting the area cleared for the shop. It is going to be so nice when it is done.

300 a month

I needed salad stuff, bananas, cream cheese, pudding, mushrooms, carrots, large can of green beans, baking powder, freezer bags, coconut, yogurt, rice and frozen juice. I spent 47.46 add that to the months total of 198.74 for 246.20 for the month.

Add 47.46 to the year’s total of 1162.70 for a total of 1210.18 spent for the year. This leaves me with 53.80 for the month and 2389.84 left for the year.

Goals

Kitchen

I got the turkey cooked, I put the meat in the freezer, till I am done making broth then I will can it with some of the broth to use for soup and rice. Finished up the strawberry’s, started some new kombucha, made fry bread, and got bone broth made from the turkey bones.

This week I need to get the broth canned, make some cream pies and no bake cheesecakes to put in the freezer, Get my yeast and sour dough starter started since I didn’t get it done  and I also want to get some dog food canned up.

Sewing Table

I got a pair of undies cut out, with my new pattern, hoping to get them sewn this week. Well since I apparently don’t think I have enough to do, I have started a new project? I am going to embroidery two sets of tea towels for the girls for Christmas. I haven’t done any embroidery in forever and though it would make a nice gift for Christmas.

This week I want to finish the undies and make a couple more. Joleen brought over a couple pairs of pants that need mended and a pair of her boyfriend’s shorts that need a button, so need to get them done this week.

Fiber Arts,

Didn’t get Katies afghan done so am hoping to finish this week, need to get it done so I can start on Joleens her Birthday it June 14th and I would really like to have it done.

I worked on carding the wool I got, was having issues so I asked my friend who gave it to me. She said that it had already been carded (which I could tell, it was in a large bag kind of clumped together, so I thought it needed to be redone.). I can use it as is just will have to pull out some of the parts that need to be recarded. If I have time (which I dought I will) I would like to try and spin  a little of it.

Yard

Joleen got me this for Mother’s day for my gnome garden isn’t it just the cutest. It lights up at night.

With the weather so ugly I haven’t got much done. I did finish the large fairy garden, and the back patio area a little more doable and fixed up.

This week I need to mow, and I would like to get the back yard grass reseeded, work on the garden area and the herb areas, ( running out of time for the garden and herb areas).

Miscellaneous

I dyed some clothes pins, thought they would look nice when I hang out clothes, and on my kitchen cabinet that I hang cards on.
