300 a Month, Menu, & Goals

Where oh where does the time go, I can’t believe it is already the middle of June. Although I am ready for June to be done, I am pretty sure it is the busiest month of the year around here.

Joleen turned 21 the other day (seems like yesterday she was 1) we had a surprise dinner for her at a local Mexican Food place. It was a lot of fun and she was very surprised, 5 uncles and their families, two cousins and their families, plus a couple friends so there was several people.

This weekend we will do a big Family dinner here for Father’s day, My Dads, Joleen, Katie, and two nephews Birthdays. After the dinner some of the girl’s friends will come over and we will have a 2nd party. So I am busy trying to get the yard and house ready.

300 a Month

I spent a lot this week, Pineapples, Mangos, Cheese and, Raspberries were all on sale so I got enough to put in the freezer for the rest of the year. I also got two rotisserie chickens that were marked down to 3.48 each for a whole chicken I will take the meat off and make stock out of the bones, some frozen chicken, salad stuff, green beans, grapefruits, eggs, turkey lunch meat, sour cream and bananas.

I spent 155.50 so add this to the 95.58 for the month for a total of 251.08 which leaves me with 48.92 for the month. Add that to the year’s total of 1356.14 + 155.50 for 1511.64 spent for the year, so I have 2088.36 left for the year.

Goals

Kitchen,

I got 7 quarts of dog food, 20 half pints of strawberry puree/ syrup, canned, 8 gallon bags of strawberries in the freezer, Yogurt started, a gallon bag of meatballs in the freezer.Made bread and a peach cobbler. This next week I will get the pineapples, raspberries, and mangoes in the freezer, I would like to get more dog food canned but with trying to get ready for the party I don’t know if I will get the dog food done.

Sewing table,

Once again I didn’t even get to sit down to it, I still need to mend Joleen’s pants.

Fiber arts,

I was gifted 4 ½ large bags of wool (super excited about that). I only have about 5 rows left on Katie’s afghan to finish that I have to get done this week so I can give it to her for her Birthday.

Yard

This is where I have spent most of my time, Got most all of the garden put in. I am redoing the back yard play area for the kids, I am adding a lot of different things, super excited to get it all done I think they are going to love it. I did get a little done in the front still have a lot more to go. I redid the walk way to the back yard I laid ground cover and cover it with mulch. Got a lot of flowers planted. I want to have all the back yard (play area, side walk, and patio) by this week end for the party. Will have pictures as soon as it is all done.
