300 a Month, Goals, & Menu

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Well, this is supposed to be a once a week post, I am falling way behind hopefully I can catch it up today and stay caught up ( not going to hold my breath but I am going to try haha).

Been another busy few weeks. I canโ€™t believe how much time the Fair stuff is taking I am hoping that that will slow down a little as we move along and get figured out what we are doing.

This past weekend was the Four States Ag Expo, we went out Saturday morning for a few hours then came home and I went back to town to get a few things done that I needed to get done.

Since I donโ€™t have enough to keep me busy I joined the Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary which right now wonโ€™t take a lot of time. Although in about 6 months or so it will get busy since we will be hosting the 2020 Tri-State and that takes a lot of work from everyone on the department but the last time we hosted was in 08 so we are overdue to host.

Well, Bela still hasnโ€™t kidded we weren’t sure if she was going to be due the first of March or April so now I am guessing April.

We have had several calves already. They are so cute when they are little.

We got a little snow yesterday probably about an inch and a half, not near as much as we need but every little bit helps.

We went to the caucus a couple weeks ago and Andy I were both picked to be delegates at the county assembly and that was last Friday night. The one we were wanting on the ballot for County Commissioner ( the more conservative one) didnโ€™t make it, he missed it by one vote so he is going to petition to get on so I have been trying to gather a few signatures for that.

300 a month

Since I am doing for the last 3 weeks I am just going to put the totals I didnโ€™t really buy anything in bulk. I did spend 92.92, So that will be 92.92 for the month and that leaves me 207.08 for the rest of the month. This leaves me 3232.42 for the rest of the year.

Goals

Kitchen

Last weeks goals
I need to get the potatoes finished up so I am wanting to can some green chili soup, beef vegetable soup and a base for potato soup.
I have started making bread again and I want to get a sourdough starter started this week.

I was able to work up a few of the potatoes I got 40 pints of Beef vegetable soup canned.
This week I need to finish working up the potatoes, I want to do more beef vegetable soup and get the green chili and potato soup base canned up.
I didnโ€™t get the sourdough started so hoping to get it done this week.

Sewing table

Last weeks goals
I am wanting to work on Katie and Joleenโ€™s quilts. I have the top done for Katieโ€™s and some of Joleenโ€™s cut out so I want to get the rest cut out and get started putting it together. I really want to hurry and get these done so I can start on a brand quilt, I have been wanting to do one for years and I am thinking with my new circuit I can use it to help cut on the brands for the quilt.

I got the pieces to the top out for Katies so now I need to get to work on it, I would like to finish cutting the pieces that need to be cut.

Fiber Arts

Last weeks Goalsย

I am working on a crocheted rope basket which I need to work on and get finished but I am wanting to start making some cotton washcloth to sell so I will just have to see which one I want to do this week. I also want to do some spinning I have been doing a little but not enough to get good at it yet.

I didnโ€™t get to work on the basket but I did get a couple wash clothes done, I found the pattern and size I want to use after making and ripping out several. But I have it figured out and they donโ€™t take long to make so maybe I can get at least a couple made in the evenings that I am home.

Yard work

Last weeks goals
If I have a little bit of nice weather when I can get out I want to get my herb garden area cleaned and start getting it doable for next year. Last year I didnโ€™t get much done with it so it is a little overgrown and needs a lot of attention.

The weather has been pretty ugly so I didnโ€™t even get outside hoping it will be a little nicer this week and I can get out and work a little.

Fitness
Last weeks goals
I stopped my workouts a few months ago ( which was stupid because I have to start back at square one now) I am going to start doing these again.
I did get started working out again I hate starting back atย ย the beginning ugh I am so out of shape. I really think the warmups should count as a work out haha.
I am wanting to also start doing 30 minutes on the treadmill in addition to the workouts. My goal is to be fit enough to go to the gym with Joleen this summer when Skylar is gone and not completely embarrass her or myself.

Music
