200 a Month, Goals, & Menu,

Happy New Year to everyone. Hope it is a good year. I have a lot of new things planned for this year. I am wanting to start a couple new small business ventures I will have more on this a little later.

We had a great Christmas ( glad it is over hahaha). I got a knitting machine ( which hasn’t come in yet) that I am so excited to use it is a round one that you can make socks with ( guess who all is going to get socks for Christmas and birthdays this next year haha ).

We have gotten quite a bit more snow which we really need but isn’t all that much fun to do chores in.

Joleen and Katie got to go to Texas and see their sister, Joleen ha already met her but Katies hadn’t yet they also both got to meet their Brother and his family. They got to have some really good visits and they both just love all of them. I am so happy for them that they all got to finally meet.

I am looking forward to the new year and all the things I have planned for the blog, the daycare and around the home.

I was able to get 5 batches of soaps made these were some basic ones so now I want to start on some swirl soaps this week.

200 a month,

Well as I mentioned last time I will be doing a 200 a month instead of 300 since I don’t have to buy meat if you have to buy meat you can keep it at 300. Going to work really hard on a no spend year do more cooking from scratch and no processed foods.
Although not getting off to a very good start already spent more this month then I had planned,

I bought tea, garlic, T.P., corn tortillas, almond milk, coconut milk, balsamic vinegar, milk, mushrooms ( on clearance sale), cheese, carrots, eggs, lemons, cauliflower, pasta, and paper towels.
I spent 87.18 not as good as a start as I would have wanted. That leaves me 112.82 for the month and 2312.82 left for the year.

Kitchen

I was gifted a sourdough starter super excited to start making sourdough bread. Been wanting to get some for some time.
I need to get the oranges and grapefruit canned and dehydrated, and the apples canned.

Sewing
I have the baby blanket almost all done want to get it finished this week.

Fiber Arts
I am about half way done with Joleen’s afghan so will finish it up this week. You can find the pattern here. I also want to start doing some knotting not sure what I am going to do yet though.

I am planning on getting a sourdough starter going this year (it is one of my 2019 goals) … I was lighting the fire a few days ago using an old newspaper my aunt had given me and that I’d rescued from the pile in the shed and what did I see as I opened it, about the scrunch up he first sheet, – How to Make the Best Ever Sourdough Starter”! Talk about good timing!

Yes, sour starter is on my list. Been given some in the past but it was bad timing and so never got of the ground. Hope the spending target goes well. Love targets like yours. #GoingGreen
